The Wildcat Rally is moving!!

The new location will be at the Voyager Inn in Reedsburg, WI.
The dates will still be over Labor Day Weekend, which this year is September 4th-7th.

As mentioned previously, new ownership and management at the Old Towne Motel and Old Towne Inn restaurant have changed the atmosphere of the rally from what it had been for many years past. At the last rally a small group of us, both new and old, discussed finding a place which would better suit our needs.

We needed to find a place where:

• Everyone stays in the same location, decent rooms at a decent price.
• A restaurant and bar attached which would support both dinner meals and our banquet.
• A gathering area with privacy where we could be "who we are". We are not especially rowdy, but we want to be considerate of the hotel and other guests.

After lots of research and a few onsite visits to several possible locations, we decided on the Voyageur Inn. This is a 50 year old facility so it's not perfect but it is well-kept with a large open lobby and nice public areas. There is an indoor pool, the rooms are large and clean and each room has a refrigerator and microwave.

There are a couple outdoor areas we can use for socializing. One is right outside the bar and has a small bit of patio furniture. And we have been given permission to set up an above ground fire pit (if someone brings one) on a grassy area around back by the parking lot. If we bring folding chairs this will be an excellent place to gather after hours, if the weather cooperates.

The bar selection was limited but they have agreed to stock up what we might want (taking suggestions!) within reason. The food in the restaurant was decent and there are several other food options close by for those looking for more variety over the weekend. They also provide a small free breakfast in the restaurant or a $3 discount off menu price for guests.

For our Rally Banquet, they have conference rooms that can accommodate our group and have offered a few options for providing food, ranging from buffet, to a limited menu (like they did for us at the Old Towne), to simply ordering off their menu. That will be determined as we move forward, but the limited menu option has always worked well for us in the past.

They have blocked the first floor and part of the 2nd floor for the rally, but they can't keep this forever. So if you are likely to attend this year, please reserve your room early as you can. You can cancel if you must, but this being a new venue providing us a pretty nice deal, we really want to get group size nailed down as early as we can. This impacts requirements and possibly cost for the banquet and room block holds.

**IMPORTANT UPDATES**

The Wildcat Mountain Rally will be moving to an improved venue in 2026. Changes in ownership of the Old Towne Motel and the Old Towne Inn Supper Club have made the current venue no longer suitable for our needs. Some of the fun and camaraderie that we had in the past has taken a hit, and we intend to do our best to bring that back to what it was for so long!

During the banquet in fall 2025 a sub-group of attendees, new and old, came together to find a new location. We will be making much needed updates to this web site and our Facebook page to better communicate the past and our current changes. Responsibilities for the rally coordination have been split up between several individuals to make sure things fall into place.

For those of you who are on Facebook, we encourage you to join our Wildcat Rally Facebook Group to keep up to date. We will also be sending out periodic emails to everyone for which we have info. If you know anyone who you think may want to join in, please forward the Facebook group and web site links and ask them to send their contact info to wildcatmountainrally@gmail.com to get on our list.
