25 YEARS OF TWISTIES

We have lasted 25 years and are still going strong. Hopefully everyone had a good time and made it home safely. We some firsts this year:
- We got rained out on Saturday until noon, though some riders went in the morning. Not bad for 25 years.
- Also I wore a helmet for the first time and got a lot of comments about it...all good.
- Last but not least, Don Lawson became the first person to receive a 25-year attendance award. He's the only person on the planet to have attended each and every Wildcat Mountain Rally! Congratulations Don!!

I would like to thank Mike Blackburn, Doug Cooper, and Richard Kline for the scenic routes they put together. Also I would like to thank Mike and Jill Tatkow and Brian hall for thier help scouting this year. Thank you all very much! And a solemn thanks to Don Lawson for the very well done prayer for the Fretty's - Thank you Don for so eloquently putting all of our thoughts and emotions into words.

Also thanks to Cam for taking care of the web site. If anyone has pictures that they want to share please down load them and send them to Cam or myself and we will get them on the web site for everyone to see. Send an E-mail to Cam to figure out the best way to send him your photos.

I received an email from Don Schueller with an idea for next year and I would like some input from the Wildcat riders. Don would like to do a early morning ride of about 60 miles, go to breakfast and then ride. Dawn with Don would be the name of the ride. Don also suggests having a cook out at the motel. That sounds good to me. Nothing like a cookout to keep costs down and to have good food at the same time. E-mail Cam or Tom with your input and if you would like to be a volunteer to cook, clean-up, or make sure we don't run out of food!

We had 30 or so bikes and about 40 people this year - down a little but the weather played into that. We had some incidents but nothing too bad. All in all we had a good rally. I want to thank all who attended and say we missed who could not make it this year. I will try and keep everyone more informed this winter with some posts on the web site.

It's rally time! Route sheets are now posted. Take a look and get an idea of where you'd like to go. Lots of good stuff this year! Everyone have a safe trip to Westby, and we'll save you a spot in the parking lot!

Summer is here and the rally is just around the corner. I have not had much time to scout this year so we will play it by ear. I must thank Mike Blackburn, Doug Cooper and Richard Kline for they have come up with some site seeing routes for riders who don't want to go very far and won't be in a rush. Thanks guys! Shirts have been ordered and I think everyone will like them. I also have some bad news - Joe Fretty's youngest son was in a bike accident and is not doing well, so lets all keep the Frettys in our thoughts and prayers. We look forward to seeing Joe and Laura next year...they will be missed! That's all for now!

Spring has sprung, I'm sorry I did not close the web site last year so here I go. We had 50 riders last year again. I can't post my pictures because my camera is broke. I would like to make a correction about the awards, I had Bob Perkipile accept awards for Mike Wencel and his dad, It should have been Mike Blackburn, sorry Mike! Now this year Mike Blackburn and Doug Cooper and Dick Kline are going to work on a scenic ride for the riders who are not in a rush to cover some miles in a day. Thank you ! I have been on OT since last year but have some route ideas. Brian Hall has been in contact with me and we are going to start scouting soon. When we have a date I will let everyone know and see who would like to go along. We are looking forward to this year and have some surprises. I will leave it at that. I must get ready for work now, I will keep you up to speed.
